MEGADETH Fan Stabbed During Concert Receives Personal Visit From DAVE MUSTAINE

August 6, 2016

A man was allegedly robbed and stabbed three times during MEGADETH's sold-out August 4 concert in Neuquén, Argentina.

According to Minutouno, the victim, who is around 30 years old, traveled from Comodoro Rivadavia with friends to see the band. During the concert, he reportedly started arguing with a woman who allegedly tried to steal his wallet with 5000 Argentine pesos (approximately $336). He was then assaulted by an "overweight man with a cap" and stabbed three times in the chest and forearm. The identity of the perpetrator is unknown.

The victim was transported to the Castro Rendón hospital, where he remains in stable condition with wounds in the thoracolumbar area, one on the right flank and a significant cut on the forearm.

Dave Mustaine found out about the crime and tweeted: "Gotta split. A fan got hurt last night. I'm gonna visit him in the hospital. Love you guys, and please for God's sake be nice to each other!"

The MEGADETH mainman and and his bandmates apparently delivered on his promise and visited the injured fan at the hospital on Friday (August 5). Video footage and photos of their visit can be seen below.

MEGADETH is currently touring South America in support of its latest album, "Dystopia", which came out in January.

In addition to Mustaine, MEGADETH's current lineup includes longtime bassist David Ellefson, Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro, best known for his work with ANGRA, and former SOILWORK drummer Dirk Verbeuren.
